Ricardo Gouveia
Professional Associated Valuer
Director
Ricardo matriculated at Pretoria Boys’ High School. He then completed a Bcom Honours Degree in Financial Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria, as well as a National Diploma in Real Estate (Property Valuation) at UNISA. He is registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Associated Valuer with no restrictions and is also a member of the South African Institute of Valuers.
His career in Real Estate has comprised various aspects from banking, accounting, property management and broking and he is currently active in the property valuation profession as a Professional Associated Valuer and Director of Valuetec, where he attends to valuation and advisory services of Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural, Residential and Specialised Properties, Retail Shopping Centres, Developments and Vacant Land. He founded Valuetec, a Property Valuation Company, in 2012.
Ricardo has a keen sense for adventure and the outdoors and he particularly enjoys downhill mountain biking, hiking, drifting and 4×4. He is a dad to his 12 year old son and together they create videos on YouTube of all their adventures. His passion for wine, lead him to complete various courses at The Cape Wine Academy, including the Diploma in Wine and his intention is to become a Cape Wine Master. This has provided him with the necessary knowledge and ability to specialise in the valuation of vineyards (wine farms). He has tasted on several wine panels and competed in wine tastings.

Andre Steyn
Professional Valuer
Gauteng
Andre completed a Bcom Honours Degree in Property Valuation and Management at the University of Johannesburg. He is registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer and is also a member of the South African Institute of Valuers.
He has 14 years’ experience in the property industry including: Valuation and advisory services of Retail Shopping Centres, Developments, Vacant Land, Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural, Residential and Specialised Properties. As a registered Professional Valuer, he works with multiple clients in various disciplines of the valuation industry. His primary focus is on creating well researched and actionable valuation reports. He joined the Valuetec Team in 2019.
He is a father of two boys and enjoys mountain biking, fishing and being outdoors together. Spending time with them is the highlight of his day.

Frans van Niekerk
Office Manager & Professional Associated Valuer
Gauteng
Frans acquired his National Diploma in Real Estate in 2017 through the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He also has a Diploma in Architectural Draughting and is an Accredited Professional: Existing Buildings through the Green Building Council of South Africa. He is registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Associated Valuer and is also a Member of the South African Institute of Valuers.
His career in Real Estate has comprised being an estate agent, office management, overseeing valuation reports and he now specialises in residential property valuations. He joined the Valuetec Team in 2012 and to this day, is still a valued member of the property valuation company.
He is a self-proclaimed perfectionist and lives by the motto “if you want it done right, do it yourself”. He has a creative side, which includes miniature painting, drawing, creative writing and DIY projects. Property renovations & Investing are high on his interest list, as well as renewable energy. If he is not busy with any of the above, he loves reading or playing PC Games

Mark Govender
Professional Valuer
Durban
Mark completed a National Diploma in Real Estate (Property Valuation) at UNISA. He is registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer and is also a member of the South African Institute of Valuers.
He has 13 years’ experience in the property industry including: Valuation and advisory services for Property Funds, Vacant Land, Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural, Residential and Specialised Properties. He joined the Valuetec Team in 2020.
He has a keen sense for adventure and travel and partakes in outdoor activities. He is a dad and loves spending his free time with his family and he loves to read.

Karl Crosland
Professional Valuer
Cape Town
Karl completed a National Diploma in Property Valuation at Cape Technikon and he has a certificate as a Commercial & Industrial Specialist from UCT. He is registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer and he is registered with the Department of Justice as a Sworn Appraiser.
He has 27 years’ experience in the property industry including: Valuations of Commercial, Industrial and Residential properties. He has provided valuation services for large financial institutions, namely, Investec, Nedcor, First National Bank, Board of Executors and NBS. He is also a consultant for City of Cape Town for various general valuations. He joined the Valuetec Team in 2019.
He is first and foremost a father and a friend to his son, who is his pride and joy. He has a keen interest in understanding the nature of our reality and researching recent and ancient history. When time allows, a run or a gym session is always a good distraction. His ultimate downtime is a quiet day on the beach.

Vino
Head of Security
Gauteng
Vino joined the Valuetec Team as a little pup in June of 2014. His favorite toy to play with is his tennis ball. He is very loyal and playful. When it comes to security, there is no time for games though. He patrols the office perimeter on a regular basis, and nothing goes unnoticed while he is on duty.
